The Pikachu page keeps growing

I told myself this was a Pikachu page. That is technically true, but it has turned into a tiny museum of every way you can draw one yellow mouse. There’s a Japanese McDonald’s promo, Ash’s Pikachu in a few different hats, a couple of balloon-powered Flying Pikachu cards, and the giant VMAX versions that barely fit inside their own frames. It’s a lot. That’s why I like it.

The fun part is that none of them feel like the same card copied over and over. Some are goofy, some are whole little scenes, and some hit that instant childhood-recognition button. I appreciate a big pull, but the oddball promos and familiar faces get just as much room in this binder.

Little bit of card trivia: the Celebrations set included both Flying Pikachu V and Flying Pikachu VMAX. I respect any franchise that looked at Pikachu and decided the next logical step was balloons.
